Last One for 2012

Hello bloggers! I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season.
Things have been busy over here, juggling parties, family
gathering and 3 kids is quite tiring, needless
to say that I had to take a break from crafting and blogging.
Of course I had to do one last post for 2012...

This layout was inspired by Marcy Penner, loved how
she used the word bubbles on her layout, so I had
to recreate it on my layout. Thanks Marcy for the inspo!

I love using a soft muted pattern paper as my background,
this makes me so happy, of course paired with some
teal and yellow and I'm in heaven. ;)

I used my tiny attacher (love that thing) to staple the
diecuts to a piece of twine, it's a quick way to embelish a layout.

I hope you have a fabulous New Year's eve.
I wish you all the best this New Year has to offer!!!
See you next year friends!

Bundle of Joy

I'm up today on the Jillibean Soup blog and since its the Christmas
season I thought it would be perfect time to showcase these
cute pics of Alexia. I used washi tape from Freckled Fawn to add some
festive color. For good measure I added some glitter to the kraft
letters. I also wanted the twine to mimic the strand of light
on Miss A. She is such a joy, it will be wonderful celebrating
Christmas this year as a family 5.

Christmas Garland

About a month ago I was planning a photo shoot with the
girls and wanted to decorate the backdrop with Christmas lights
and a garland. That's what sparked the idea to create a
garland using various circle punches and twine. This is a rather
quick and easy project to do, I even got the girls involved.
They had a blast punching out the various circles and aligning
them for me to assemble. In less than an hour we had made a garland.

This is the picture that we will be using this year for our Christmas cards.

Christmas Tags Jillibean Soup Style

As part of my DT assignment for the month of December, I created
some Christmas tags. I had never created tags before, they were a
blast to do! Now I just need to find the perfect gift to put these on.

I used a lot of glitter paire with kraft paper. It creates a nice
subtle effect. The larger snowflake was cut using the Cameo
and the velum snowflakes were made using a MS punch.

I created a mistletoe using a Cameo cut and some buttons, paired with
some twine, it creates a cute accent for the tag.

Hope this puts you in the mood to create your own Christmas tags.

Love this Life

A quick post today to share this layout of Dan and Alexia.
I snapped this moment when we were at the hospital,
Alexia must have been only a couple of days old. Love seeing
him be so gentle with her. Totally makes my heart melt.

I just love this color combo! I finally pulled out the Studio Calico
Starburst mask and paired with Mister Huey Dewey, love that color!
Again lots of layers, that's my thing right now and I'm loving it,
since I've stopped questionning if what I was creating would be like
by such a company or if it was good enough to impress people,
the creative process is much more enjoyable. Creative freedom!!!

Up Up & Away

Every year on the girls birthday we get them a huge assortment of
balloons, of course these are the perfect accesory for pictures!
As we do every year I went outside with Danika to take the
traditional birthday pictures. After a couple of regular poses Danika
decided to play around with the balloons, of course it was her
idea to do like in the movie Up, we did have a good laugh out of
that one. She is such a funny spontaneous carefree girl, I just
love how this comes through in the picture.

To keep with the theme of flying away I added various
types of arrows, I love white embelishments on white cardstock,
it's such a fun and clean design concept.

Never Lose Your Sense Of Wonder

This month the Jillibean Soup DT was challenged by Jill aka the Big Bean
to use a quote as a title for a layout. The timing of this challenge was just
perfect because I had pinned this quote on Pinterest a couple of days
prior. I love love love this picture of the girls, it's our first good picture
of them together, of course I used the IG version of this picture, ha!

The larger snowflakes were cut out with the Cameo, they are lined with
velum to which I added stitching. On the smaller snowflakes I added
Stampin Up glitter, love the extra sparkle this adds to the layout.
The title work was done using the quote which I purchased from the
Silhouette store, and 2 different type of Jillibean Soup stickers.

The DT members have outdone themselves with this challenge,
make sure to check them out on the blog.

Glimpse of Today

Ha! Here I am again with a layout that features a picture from
Instagram! Can you see a trend coming on here?! ;)

I took this picture one October afternoon when we were
walking home from the bus stop. Brianna had no interest in
taking a picture of our feet, I think she thought it was odd,
but my mini photographer in the making, Danika, was all
for it.

The stitching on the layered leaves was totally inspired by
Adrienne, a fellow member at Studio Calico. I love the effect
it gave so I had to borrow her idea and use it on my layout.
I've also incorporate various elements that I created using my
Cameo, some stamping, a couple of doilies and a banner
were thrown in for good measure.

Hope your week is off to a great start!!
