Mix and Match with Pebbles

For this week's Pebbles assignment I had to create
a project which combined multiple Pebbles collections.
I love mixing products, so this was totally fun.
For these cards I used papers from the Sunny Side
collections and embelishments from the Hip Hip Hooray
collection, they both coordinated very well.

For both cards I kept the same color combo,
only changing the design and embelishments.
Again those mini clothes pins found their
way onto my project! Also used a butterfly
punch on both cards, just in a different format.

Hope these inspire you to create some cards
or mix and match products, it's a great way to
use up those supplies!!! ;)

Dude!

Today I'm sharing a little card I created
for Jillibean Soup using the new Macho Nacho
collection. I just love this collection, the
color combo and pattern papers are totally
stunning and versatile too!

I decided to cut out the honeycomb pattern, which
adds a bright element to the background.
I also had a little Maya Road chipboard
dude laying around, I thought it was perfect
for the card. I rarely make "manly" cards,
not sure why, but I like how this one turned out.

Pebbles Cards

Hello fellow scrapper, today I'm sharing some
cards I created for Pebbles. I used the tags as
my main focus for the cards and added
various embelishments. I still love using the mini
clothes pins on my projects.

I just love the chevron pattern from the SunnySide
collection, I could use it over and over again and
not get tired of it!!! To create the butterflies
I used a EK success punch.

She is here!!!

Dan and I are thrilled to announce that our
baby girl has arrived! Her name is Alexia Rose,
she was born on July 16 and weighed a
healthy 8pounds 13 ounces (similar to her sisters!)
Everyone is doing great, the sisters are over the
moon happy about our new baby, they just can't
get enough of her. We are loving our new
little family of 5!

Here are the big girls with
their new baby sister!
Thanks for sharing our joy.

Thank You To Pebbles!!!

As you might have seen on the Pebbles blog,
the 2012-2013 DT was announced today. Congrats
to all the wonderful and talented ladies that have
joined the DT. I personally decided not to reapply,
I have loved my last year as DT member of Pebbles but
with a new baby coming soon, I wanted to slow down
a bit and make time for other things. Of course
this was such a hard decision but in the end,
I had to do what is best for me and family.

I do have more projects for Pebbles that will be
featured on the blog in the month ahead but
in the meantime, I thought I'd share some of favorite
projects. Thank you to the wonderful team at
Pebbles and a special thank you to Lynn, our
fearless leader, it has been a pleasure working with you!

Waiting

For the longest time I've had a scrappy crush on
everything that Crate Paper has been releasing! I was
so happy to see their most recent release Little Bo Beep.
Of course, the timing for me couldn't be more
perfect, baby girl is set to arrive this coming
Monday, so I decided it was time I do my first lo
about her. What better line to use than the new CP!!!

I've been scrapping on a smaller scale lately, 8.5x11
and I love it!!! The layouts come together so much quickly
and honestly right now, I'm pretty short on time.
Of course I've been inspired by so many scrappers that
excel at this format, like Sasha Farina, Waleska
and Cindy Stevens, sooo much talent!!!

These were the first pictures of baby girl.
I've layered the pictures together and tied them
with string from Divine Twine. This will
be the first page of her album, i think it's a
great way to start!!!

This layout was based on a sketch by Kristine Davidson
which was feature in her sketch book, Creative Scrappers
Creating with Sketches. Thanks Kristine for the book,
it's definetly a major source of inspiration.

Best Day Ever

Hopefully you've experienced one of those "Best Days Ever"
where it would call for sending a card to a special someone.
I know I have and that's why I created this card,
I think it's always nice to acknowledge when someone
does something nice or special for someone else, I'm trying
to teach my girls to do that too and to do little cards
for their friends when they encouter an act of kindness.

Again I couldn't resist using the new Macho
Nacho collection for my Jillibean Soup card,
in fact all my projects this month are created with this line,
yep I love it that MUCH!

For this card I used mostly the softer colors in the
collection, complementing them with a kraft
embossed background. I had punched out circles for
another project and the negative part was perfect
for this card, why let it go to waste!?
Of course the Soup Lables are perfect for any
project, managed to use 2 on here.

Hope you have a Best Day Ever!

Free Bird

Happy thursday morning fellow bloggers!
Hope everything is well in your corner of the world!
What a busy day we had yesterday, spent the day
with the hubby, went to the OB to heart the baby's heartbeat,
that's the most wonderful sound in the world!
Then off for lunch and Ikea, walking a 2 storey Ikea
at 37 weeks pregnant with swollen feet is not a
pleasant adventure, but I'm glad it's done, we needed new
furniture for the girl's rooms. Then in the evening we had
our orientation at the hospital, it's getting so close and
so real, I can barely stand it, I'm like a kid at Christmas
counting down the days, the hours, the minutes....

In the meantime, here's a lo I created for Jillibean Soup
using the new Macho Nacho collection, as you can
see it's not only for boys layouts, the colors and patterns
are so versatile that I was able to use it on a layout of DJ.

I created the banner using a circle punch and folding the
circles in half, then stitching them together. Love love love
the glassine coing envelope, they are soooo much fun!
Did you know that Jillibean Soup makes these, so if you
are looking to get your hands on them look no further than
the Jillibean Soup website.

Today I'm going to the spa, to take care of the swollen feet
and I'm working on my CHA projects!!! Woot woot!
Should be a good day all around.

Upside Down

Good morning blog readers and happy 4th of July to my US friends!
Hope everyone is doing well, things here are progressing well,
I'm in week 37 of the pregnancy, baby girl is doing great, moving
lots and making me tired, which is good! I'm officially
on maternity leave, YAY me, off for 13 months, as a SAHM
wanna be, this is pure bliss. I'll get to enjoy my new baby and the
big girls too, I am sooooo looking forward to picking them up
from the bus stop, coming home to do homework and
get this, NOT RUSHING to make it all happen
before diner, pure bliss!!! In the meantime, I'm getting
things ready for baby girl, packing her hospital bag, decorating
her room (grey, white, yellow, pink combo), spending some
relaxed time with the hubs before our world gets
out of whack. Still need to do one last trip to Ikea. :)

In the meantime here's a little lo I created recently.
Love this picture of Danika doing a cartwheel!
This girl can move and do flips, she amazes me.
We have to get her back in gymnastics, it comes
so easily to her, I love seeing her in action.

I used a fun action in Picassa (thanks Wendy) to modify
the picture, love how it turned out.
I also used some new Studio Calico bubble stamp,
which was part of an add-on last month, love
the bubble stamp, SC always manages to come up
with clever and fun designs!!!

Well thanks for sticking with this post 'til the end,
it was a long one!!!
