Double Dose

My world revolves around these girls, it's only
normal they are my source of inspiration
when it comes to creating.

I had fun creating this layout for Pebbles,
our assignment was to mix and match Pebbles collections.
I used a recent picture of the girls, which was taken
at Danika's first communion, it's pretty rare that I get a nice
picture of the girls together. I think I used 4 or 5 Pebbles
collections for this layout, I love how the collections
coordinate with each other! This is just another
way to get the most out of scrapbooking supplies.

Chalk Time and Jillibean Soup

Well, I'm slowly coming up for air from the
mountain of laundry that I had to do after a weekend
of camping! I love camping, I just don't enjoy the packing
and unpacking/washing that comes with it.

This layout was posted today on the Jillibean Soup blog.
I used one the newest collection, Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup.
Isn't that yellow woodgrain paper THE best?!
I don't know what it is about playing with chalk on
the driveway but we always seem to be drawing
hearts, butterflies and rainbows, must be a girl thing. ;)

As opposed to what you may think, the white circle
pattern was not created using a Cameo (I wish!) but instead
I use a mistable template by Crafter's Workshop.
I think I will post a tutorial sometime soon for this
fun, easy and inexpensive way to use a misting template.
In the meantime, happy scrapping. :)

Cards Magazine Feature

Hello fellow scrappers!!! Hope everyone had a
lovely weekend! We had a long weekend here in Canada,
so we packed up the camper and went out camping
with the girls for the weekend, we had a great
time but it's also nice to come back home.

Today I'm sharing the cards I created for Cards magazine
designer of the month feature which appeared
in the March 2012 issue. I have to say this
feature has been one of the highlights of my
scrapbooking career!

A huge thank you for Cards magazine for asking me
to be part of their wonderful publication!!

Sassy Girl & Studio Calico

Hello fellow scrappers!
I hope your week has been a pleasent one.
Today I am sharing a layout that I recently created
using the May kit by Studio Calico, 35mm.

I love the new mistable stickers by Heidi Swapp,
they are perfect for misting with Studio Calico Mister Huey.
I love that once they are misted the lettering comes
back through, so clever and fun!

As well, I used the new Good Stuff stamp set by Studio Calico.
Love these stamps, they are so much fun to use.
Finally made a dent in those wood veneer butterflies,
which I've been hoarding for some time now. They
are just too cute!

Pebbles and Mother's Day

Happy Monday friends.
I hope all the moms had a fabulous mother's day.
I got spoiled by Dan and the girls.
Lots of beautiful flowers (hydrangeas, my fave) and
homemade gifts, those are THE best!!!!

Today I'm sharing Mother's day projects created for Pebbles.

I used the new Country Picnic collection to create these cards.
Of course, I added a doily to add a bit more"softness"
to the cards. The "love you" title was cut out using my Slice.

For this card I used a Sizzix die to cut out the hearts,
and layered the hearts back together.

The dimensional stickers that are part of this collection
are fabulous! Such great shapes and titles, on this
care I used the "Thank You" greeting on the banner.
Adding a bit of bling made this card a little bit
more girly, let's be honest, we could all use a bit
more bling in our lives! ;)

You, Right Now

Happy Friday friends!
I am so happy the week is coming to an end, I am one
tired pregnant mama! ;)

I have a lo to share today. I used an kit from
Studio Calico which was created for the Get Messy Class.

I didn't have time to follow along with the class but I couldn't resist
this wonderful kit!  I also used a SC mask on this lo
and to spice it up I added stitching, that was challenging!

Love these pics of Danika, my girl sure is changing.
Sometimes I think I ask too much of her, other times I think
I baby her too much. It's hard to find that middle ground.
I love documenting right now moments with the girls,
I think they will like reading about stuff they enjoyed at
a certain age, I think I'll be doing more los like this.

Hope you will have a lovely weekend!

A Whole Lot of Lovely!

Blogging three days in a rown, it's been a long time since I've done this.
I have a lot to share this week. :)
Today I'm sharing a card I created for Jillibean Soup.

I used my favorite Jillibean Soup/Unity Co stamps on this card.
Of course I added a little doily, my obsession for doilies
is still going on strong! Just like my obsession for Studio Calico
Mister Huey Mist, sewing and twine. I'm also slowly creating
an obsession for washi tape and flair buttons, will it ever end?! LOL!

What have you been obsessing about lately? Anything new out
there in the scrapbooking world that I should know about? ;)
I do love all those little Etsy shops popping up, they have
such unique and fun things in store. I think I'll share a couple
of my favorite next week. :)

Part 2 - MCS Reveal

Hello everyone! I'm back today to share the remainder of my projects

I loved the American Crafts flowers that were included in the
Creative Kit. I decided to transform my flower into a sun

Brianna is such a funny girl! She also makes funny faces,
or smirks when we take her picture, which is not often,
because she is quite the diva and we are only allowed
to take her picture when she's in the mood! LOL!!

We recently purchased some new glasses for Danika.
She had specific instructions, they had to be funky!
She is so adorable!

I especially love this lo. The pin wheels were so much fun
to make, it had been a long time since I've
incorporated pin wheels on a lo!

I also used the stickers in the kit as a mask. It's just
another fun way to use up those stickers! I'll share
more on this technique later on.

Thank you again to Pam and the wonderful team at MCS.
I had a blast creating with this beautiful kit!

honored when Pam invited me to join the team and asked me to work with the
beautiful Creative Kit! I had a blast! My intro is posted on the MCS Blog.

This kit features a brand new Bo Bunny collection!
I love the bright and fun papers, the chipboard embelishments
are fabulous!!! I had such a great time creating with this kit!

I will be back tomorrow to share the remainder of the my projects.
If you are looking for a kit club, make sure to check out MCS,
they offer multiple kits every month!!!

Pick of the Day

Happy friday scrappy friends!
My post today features a lo that I created for Jillibean Soup.
I used the new Coconut Lime Soup collection, which is great
for all those summer pics! I love layering punched out
circles on top of the pp, it's a just a fun and sublte way to
embelish pattern paper. Brianna had such a blast
at the berry patch! I think we ate more strawberries than
we picked. LOL!!! Of course to highlight the strawberry
themed I used the strawberry patter paper, so cute!!!

Designer Challenge

This past month the Jillibean Soup DT was given a home decor image as inspiration
for creating a project. (The image is posted on the Jillibean Soup blog) I used the frames
featured in the image as my base for creating this lo. I used some of the corrugated frame
and papers, also using  my Slice (yes I still use it, haven't jumped on the Cameo
bandwagon yet), I created more frames. I love the quote that was featured in the
inspiration add, I thought it was a perfect title for this layout. There are so many
elements that make me happy on this lo, it was one of the funnest
challenges I've done in a long time! Thanks Jill!!!
