So Much to Love

I created this layout a while back, before I had Alexia,
thought I'd keep it for a slow week on the blog.
I had a bit of time between assignments so I pulled out
a Studio Calico kit and played.

Since I don't have a Cameo, I decided to pull out
my Slice to create a "Cameo" effect on my lo.
Since I was short on time I decided to create a
81/2x11 layout, for some reason this smaller format
comes together much more quickly for me.

The long weekend is right around the corner.
Looking forward to spending time with the family
and possibly going on a date with Dan.

Wonderful Birthday

So you have probably noticed by now that I love
to use the Jillibean Soup kraft tags on my projects,
well this card is no exception. I created it for CHA and
incorporated 2 tags, one small and one medium, I
trimmed them in half and stitch them on my card.

I also wanted to make some accordeon flowers,
as cute as they are I always have a hard time making
them, I get glue all over the place and they always
pop up, not sure what I'm doing wrong, LOL!!!!
I do like the end result, that's what matters, right?!

My last Pebbles assignment...

It is with some sadness that I write this post today,
as it features my last assignments for Pebbles.
Being part of the Pebbles DT has been such a great
experience for me, I have loved working with
awesome products, meeting new creative people,
creating projects that I will cheerish forever.
Thank you to the Pebbles family for making
this experience such a great one!!!

This week I was tasked with completing a project
using an awesome sketch by Becky Fleck.
My creative time is limited, it seems that Miss Alexia
(who is now 5 weeks old) doesn't appreciate it
when I disapear to my scrap room. Since
I am such a slooooow scrapper, I decided to
create some cards for this week's projects. Cards
really do come together quickly for me, in less than
an hour I can create a couple of cards. Perfect
since I'm so limited on time.
So I decided to adapt the sketch to create a card!

The first card I created was the "Life is Good" card, I pretty much
followed the design of the sketch, with only some minor
tweaks to adjust it for a card.

The second card, "You Are My Sushine" was inspired by
the sunburst design of the first card. This shows that even
a layout sketch can be used to create a card.

Just Sayin'

Today I am sharing another card I created for Jillibean Soup.
This time it features the fabulous Macho Nacho collection.

I used a circle punch by EK Success to create
the negative part, then layered it on my card base
using foam dots. I also used multiple sentiments on this
card, the Soup Label really ties them all together.
Stitching around the edges are a must!!! :)

Keep in Touch

Today's card was created for Jillibean Soup as
part of my CHA assignments. I love using
those kraft pocket and wood flag. Did you know
that you can easily change the color of the wood
flag by using mist?! Yep, it totally works.
I will preview this in a future project.

For this card, I layered the greeting sentiments
and die cut, I also added stickers for an extra little
sentimental touch. Of course stitching all around is
a must along with some Studio Calico white mist.

Congratulations for Jillibean Soup

Happy monday bloggers and scrappers!
Today I'm sharing a card I created for Jillibean Soup
and for CHA. I used the Coconut Lime Soup
collection. The hearts were punched out with
a SU punch, then layered and stitch on the card.

I also added a bit of stitching on the kraft
card base, this just makes a plain background a
bit more interesting.

In more Jillibean Soup news, Jill is having a DT call!!!

Discover NY

Last month Jill from Jillibean Soup
challenged the DT to use the corrugated album
for our DT assignment. I love these albums,
I decided to use a page of the sunburst album
as a mask on which I added mist and
created this fun pattern on my cardstock.

I also used the Macho Nacho collection for this lo.
Of course it's a more boyish line, so it was
perfect for this layout of Dan.

In case you are looking to get some new Jillibean Soup
make sure to check 2Peas, they've just received
the latest collection, they are divine!!!!

New Jillibean Soup

Hello friends!!! Today I am sharing cards that I
created for Jillibean Soup for CHA which features
the new Winter Tortellini Soup. I couldn't believe my
my luck that this collection was assigned
to me for creating my CHA projects!
It is such an awesome collection, I love love
the papers and color combo, so trendy!!!

Loved using the velum envelopes to create the
pennant (above) and gift (below).

I find a kraft background is always a nice contrast
with red and white papers, I love the
way the colors compliment each other.

Hope these inspire you to start thinking
about your Christmas cards, it's never too
early to start making them!!!
