Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the very first Scrapbook Circle blog hop!!!

All the fun started at the Scrapbook Circle blog! Then kept on going to Claude and Stacy. Now you are here. ;) Make sure to keep on hoping to Diana, Lisa and the SC blog!!!

Lisa is generously giving away one December kit to a lucky winner!!!! There is one rule, to be eligible to win the kit, you must leave a comment on every blog!!! I think that's not much work for such a fabulous kit! Make sure to end your visit at the SC blog and tell us you have visited all the blogs! As well, I will be giving out a RAK (full of bling) to a random person that left a comment on my blog. ;)

Today I am sharing a fun project that I created with the chipboard pieces that are include in the December kit. I loved this Christmas, I used some glitter powder and add some jewels for the ornaments. I found an old frame that I had put away and altered with crackle paint. Voila! The tree is part of the kit, all remaining items are from my supplies. This look can easily be recreated with bling, pearls, glitter paint, the possibilities are endless!!!

Thank you for hoping along, if you haven't make sure to join in on the fun!!! On to the next blog, Diana!!!!

The Boardwalk

Happy Friday everyone!!! I'm so happy the week is over, I get to spend two full days with my girls!!! YAY!!!

I have a lo to share tonight, I've had this picture for a long time (obviously, it's me at 5 years old) and I was waiting for inspiration to hit. I did this lo just for fun, no expectations, just trying out new things and I had fun! Love how it turned out! I can't resist October Afternoon papers, I especially love this collection Road Map. I have very little of it, so I've been hoarding it. LOL!!!I also used my trusty circle punch and pop dots to add dimension to the Bazill.

Thanks for the visit! I hope you will have a fabulous weekend. We are putting up our Christmas decorations and going to the Parade of Lights tomorrow night.

Precious Friend

I was so thrilled to receive an email from Jackie from Canadian Scrapbooker asking me if I wanted to participate to the cover challenge for the winter issue! Of course I said yes!!! It's such an honor to be approached and invited to participate to a contest like this! My lo was chosen to be part of the Top 4! Even cooler!!! I didn't get the cover but I still think that my lo rocks and that's what matters, isn't?!

You can see the winter cover here.

Thanks for the love friends. It's always so apprecited!!!

My kind of Holiday Baking

I'm not one to bake or cook very much for the Holidays. We don't host Christmas at our home, we go to my parents or Dan's parents, but one thing I do like to do with Danika is to bake chocolate chip cookies. I've been using a Betty Crocker recipe for a long time, ever since my brother gave me a cook book when we lived with my parents. Maybe he was trying to hint that I should learn how to cook, it didn't work! LOL!!!

I used left over scraps from the November kit at Love Is In The Details - PepperMint Dreams. There are only a couple left in stock so if you've been thinking about it I would hurry up at grab the last one left before they are gone. The red stars are from the Prima star branch that was in another kit. I love those stars, I really can't get enough of stars. It's disapointed that not many scrapbooking companies produce star embelishements. I've been rellying on my trusty Cuttlebug to create stars for my los!

I hope that you had a beautiful Saturday! And to all my American friends I wish you a fabulous Thanksgiving!!!

Tweet Noel - The Birdhouse

I'm currently on a altering kit!!! I wonder who's fault that is!? LOL!!!!

When I saw this birdhouse at Micheals I knew I had to alter it. I used LIITDs November kit - PepperMint Dreams - which features Jillibean Soup products that I couldn't resist.

This is what came out of this project....

I used crackle paint to create a snowy effect on the edges of the birdhouse.

It was a long project but I did enjoy the creative process. Now I wonder what I will alter next!

Thanks for the visit!

Fake Wheelie

It's Sunday afternoon, what are you up to? We've had a busy weekend of errands, family time, shopping, cleaning. No commitment this weekend other than family time, I love it! This is my ideal weekend. I am true home body! To be away from home even for a little while totally throws me off. I enjoy being home, sometimes a bit too much. LOL!

Here's a recent lo I created. I started it in Montreal last weekend. It's for a challenge on LIITD, being messy! I used splatter rubs on the lo to make it a bit messy. Sometimes messy on a lo can be a really good thing.

Also last night I posted a sneak peek of the LIITD December kit - Chance of Flurries. Do you the papers papers in this kit? This company is soooo hard to come by in Canada, I'm beyond excited that I was able to get them in for this kit!!!

That's all for today! Thanks for the visit friends and always leaving such sweet comments.

Dragging my feet!

It's Friday night - thank goodness - and I'm dragging my feet!!! I have no energy left in me, I had such a busy week at work! I barely had time to scrap this week, how traggic in that?! ;)

On the home front not much new to report, the girls are well and have been immunized against H1N1. Danika only has 2 classes of swimming left, yeah!!! A 5:30pm class on a Wednesday night was not the best idea. Not sure who had that bright idea to sign her up so close to the time I get home from work. (Ok it's me, I thought I could drive my super jet and make it home on time, not!!) So lesson learned, as long as I have to work full time, courses for the girls are on weekends, not week nights.

I did sit at my scrap table tonight to finish an altered project. Now all I need to do tomorrow is run to Micheal's to get some fake snow and I'm ready to take pictures of my project.

In the meantime here's a Halloween lo (pictures from last year). It was published in the Fall issue of Scrapbook Extra. The title says, Adorably Terrifying.

Thanks for the visit friends!!!

Scrapbook Circle's November Projects

I had such a blast working with the fab November kit from Scrapbook Circle. I can't believe that this is my second to last kit with SC. It has been a great ride but all great things do have to come to an end.

Here are my projects...

Tomorrow I'm off to a girls weekend in Montreal!!! I'm so excited. I'm taking the train and I'm going to relax! I can't wait to see Bella again and too meet Juliana for the very first time. I still have lots of packing to do so I better hurry up. I feel so very sad about leaving my girls behind but it will be good for them to spend quality time with Dan and to have a rested mommy come back home.

Thanks for the visit friends!
