Beautiful Mess

Here's a recent layout I created just for fun! I was itching to use the new AC papers and embellishment. Love those AC brackets frames, also the FP transparency had been in my stash for quite some time, glad I finally used it.

I used some Stampin Up Glitter, I love this stuff!!! I goes on well with the SU 2 - way glue, a definite must have! Those letters are by Lil Davis - I've had them in my stash for some time, I'm just rediscovering these letters, I had totally forgotten about them! ;)

Brianna can never stay comb or clean, she always gets into something and gets dirty, of
course I had to scrap about it. She is still so beautiful and adorable!

Hope your week is going well, I'm definitely looking forward to a long weekend and
Easter! The weather has been so nice that I think we will be able to have
the egg hunt outside for the first time in my life! I'm looking forward
to the many photo opportunities! ;)

Hello Fridayyyyyyyy!

Well my blogger friends, I’m sure glad that the weekend is almost here. Lots of stuff to do this weekend, one of which is downsizing my scrap area. Yes, it is tragic, but I need to reduce the amount of space my scrap area is taking up because we would like to expand our family room. This will entice me to purge lots of stuff I no longer use or need, I guess that's a good thing, right?! ;P

Today, I had my first project go up on the Jillibean Soup blog. What a thrill to be on there as DT member. I created a card based on Jill’s sketch. It was such an inspiring sketch to work with, I had so many ideas, I could have easily created at least 3 cards but alas I didn’t have time. This is the card I created. I mixed various paper collections, all the details can be seen on the blog.

Happy weekend friends!!! M

Spring ahead!!!

This weekend was the time to move our clocks 1 hour ahead, I have mixed feelings about this! I do enjoy having daylight later in the day but losing the precious hour is really too bad. LOL! Spring seems to have finally arrived and I am soooo thrilled!!! I haven't worn a jacket in a week and I'm loving every minute of it. I hope that weather is nice too in your part of the world.

I have some scrappy stuff to share today! :) Last week I posted previews of a project I was currently working on, I'm glad to final be able to share it. I have to say that this is one of my fave projects yet. For so many reason I love this frame, love that beautiful picture of my sweet girls, love the clouds and banner (I have a feeling you'll be seeing lots of those on my projects), those paper flowers and I love Jillibean Soup - but that's no secret! If you know me even a little bit, you know that I'm a diehard fan of Jillibean Soup. I can't enough. LOL!

I used various Jillibean Soup collections to create this project; Minestrone on white, Soup Staples - Yellow Sugar, Grandmas Christmas Soup. I used my Slice machine to create the banner and my cuttlebug for the clouds. The flowers are hand made by yours truly. The frame was also a dark brown, I used some acrylic paint (vintage beige and brown) to give it a distress aged look.

Thanks all the scrappy stuff I can share today. I'll be back with more later this week! Thanks for visiting!!! M xo

Could it be?!

Spring already? The weather sure has been beautiful in my part of Canada. The snow is slowly melting and I can even see patches of grass. I sure hope that the old saying "in like a lamb out like a lion" will prove to be untrue. In the meantime I am enjoying the fresh air and the fact that I do not have to wear a winter jacket! It's the simple things in life that makes me happy. That and scrappy paper! ;P

I wish I could have los to share tonight but alas I can't just yet. I do have some peaks of a special project that I have just finished.

As promised in my last post here are some pictures of our hike in and out to the cottage. Dan told me that the walk is actually 2.5 khm not 3.5 khm! Oooopps! Either way it was far to walk in the snow and with our supplies.

View from the road onto the lake
Hill to climb (it looks smaller than it really is. LOL!)
Proof of the amount of snow we had to deal with.

As always, thanks for stopping by. Off to get ready for another week. :P

Hope

Happy Monday my internet friends!

I hope your weekend was pleasant and relaxing.

Mine was very pleasant but also extremelly challenging. Dan and I had a quiet weekend together at the cottage. The catch....the roads to the cottage are not plowed so we had to walk 3.5kms in about 10 inches of snow!!! YIKES!!! Talk about challenging. We left Friday night, so we hiked in the dark...SCARY!!!! It was pitch black and so very quiet - I kept looking behind me in case a bear was creeping in on us. What an experience. We hiked back out yesterday in daylight, that was much more pleasant. I have pictures to share. I'll have another separate blog post. I was pretty proud of myself to have achieved this.

Onto some scrappy things...

Here's the latest lo that I created using Lily Bee Design French Couture collection, that you can see here. I love the warm rich tones combined with the trendy patterns! Such a fabulous line.

I love to layer alpha letters. I find it really makes the title pop up from the lo. Here is a close up of my title, you will see what I'm talking about.

In case you didn't know Lily Bee Design has a great message board that you can join to share layouts and any Lily Bee Design talks and projects. You can see it here.

In other fun scrappy news, Color Conspiracy at European company has a online site!! It's fabulous for us North Americans because CC products are not yet available here so we can now order online. I've been a fan of this company for a while now and I'm so glad for Maya and her new venture! Congrats girl!!!! Check it out - Color Conspiracy.

That's all for today my sweet friends. I will be back soon with my post about my grueling yet very rewarding hike to the cottage.
